The dry sterilizer oven DS 100 is used for the sterilization and depyrogenization of empty glassware or other glass or stainless steel packaging or containment material so that it can be introduced into a sterile room.
After the sterilization cycle, the material is therefore discharged from the passage door of the sterile rooms. Being the filters placed at the exit of the sterilization Chamber, of the absolute type filters with cold efficiency of 99.998 DOP method, during sterilization, the air circulating inside the trolleys is air in class 100. The filters used for this purpose are filters that continuously withstand a temperature of 240 degrees centigrade and therefore allow both dry sterilization and depyrogenation.
During all stages of treatment, inside the furnace, the pressure is constantly maintained positive with respect to the external environment. After the automatic sterilization cycle, the shutters all close to isolate the oven from the outside while the ventilation continues to work to maintain the internal overpressure ensuring that the material is not contaminated.
Sterilization time: 60 min for temperature 220 C while 75 min for temperature 200 C.
Cooling time to be set around 120 min.
See for the use of timers the attached instructions taking into account to always set the MODE "A" and the value in MIN. The cooling time should be selected according to the experience resulting from the type of load used and the temperature of the sucked air.

FOD ovens, such as autoclaves, run batch processes and are the ideal solution for the sterilization of all those production lines in which the variability of products, batches and formats do not allow the use of continuous sterilizers such as tunnels. FOD ovens main advantage lies on its particle contamination class assurance. Fedegari guarantees the contamination level to remain under the established standards values for 100 class. This accuracy is verified also during the most critical phases such as heating and cooling, when the thermal expansion of the filters may release a great amount of particles. Particulate contamination control originates from complex fluid dynamic studies and a close collaboration with Camfil, the world’s most respected filter manufacturer, with whom Fedegari works at the development of high-temperature filters. The air recirculation in heating and cooling zones encourages the heat exchange between the system and the glass containers, reducing energy consumption.

The FOA air-steam steriliser from 2003 is suitable for:
- Sterilisation of parenteral solutions, liquids in closed non-deformable containers (e.g. glass tubes) and liquids in closed deformable containers (e.g. plastic bags or bottles).
- Terminal sterilisation of pre-filled syringes.

The machine is designed to operate with the new RTWS3 temperature sensors, which, especially in the large automatic loading models, offer unparalleled ease of use and optimal process control:

It is equipped with fully automatic discharge/loading conveyors for maximum
productivity with virtually zero maintenance inside the sterilisation chamber.

Where the product is subject to separation or to accelerate the thermal transition phases, the entire load can be rotated throughout the process.

Steam-air FOA process:
Magnetically driven fans force a high rate of fluid circulation within the chamber. Internal sanitary hollow plates add additional heating/cooling capacity, minimising the creation of condensation.

Steam and air are injected according to control algorithms to finely control the process.
This system is the usual choice when terminally sterilised products need to be dry-discharged.

Superheated water FOW process:
Water is continuously circulated through the system and sprayed onto the load. Fine control of heating and sterilisation is achieved by superheating the water with modulated steam.
Cooling of the load is achieved by subsequent cooling of the circulated water.
Back pressure control is in accordance with the steam-air mixing process. The process is efficient and faster than the FOA process.
It is also an ideal process for processing at <105 °C. Wet loads can be overcome by using an automated drying extension with the installation of specific drying solutions downstream of the sterilisation chamber.
