PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION
The design of STILMAS PSG-DTS pure steam generators is based on the technology of the radiator. The system consists of two parallel bodies: the heat exchanger and the evaporator/decontamination column. The feed water is fed to the decontamination column (main body) while the industrial steam is fed to the supporting side of the heat exchanger. Industrial steam heats the feed water to the evaporation temperature, creating a strong circulation within the two bodies.
The Steam develops in the evaporator where its low speed and the height of the decontamination column eliminate any possible entrainment of impure water droplets. A pressure transducer, installed in the evaporator, controls the ingress of industrial steam to the heat exchanger, thus ensuring a constant pressure of the pure steam produced. Supply water flow
it is controlled by a level transmitter installed in the evaporator.
REDUCTION OF NON-CONDENSABLE GASES (NCG)
Stilmas has developed two alternative solutions to meet the NCG requirements of EN 285.
The first solution consists of an intermediate tank in which the preheated feed water is sprayed by separating the liquid from the gas which is then extracted outside.
This solution can adapt any clean steam generator to allow the NCG content to be achieved.
The Second Solution, Stilmas Gasbuster ® , is integrated into the PSG. The degassing process occurs when the preheated feed water enters the decontamination column and is sprayed by separating the liquid from the gas which is then extracted by a small stream of clean steam.
With both solutions, Stilmas PSG can deliver much lower NCG content than required by international standards.
CONSTRUCTION FEATURES
The system is entirely made of AISI 316L stainless steel. the standard finish of the active surface is smooth and flush with passivation; mechanical or electrochemical polishing can be performed on request.
The heat exchanger is of casing and tube type with double sheet metal execution; the tubes expand on the plates, avoiding any welding for a totally hygienic execution, and a better resistance to expansion efforts.
The design and construction of the decontamination chamber, which is a completely empty column, ensure the best inspection ability. The absence of welds in this area drastically reduces the risk of corrosion, for a very long service life of the equipment.
The overall design of the building, together with the decontamination process described, ensure a very compact design and require extremely limited space for maintenance.

The dry sterilizer oven DS 100 is used for the sterilization and depyrogenization of empty glassware or other glass or stainless steel packaging or containment material so that it can be introduced into a sterile room.
After the sterilization cycle, the material is therefore discharged from the passage door of the sterile rooms. Being the filters placed at the exit of the sterilization Chamber, of the absolute type filters with cold efficiency of 99.998 DOP method, during sterilization, the air circulating inside the trolleys is air in class 100. The filters used for this purpose are filters that continuously withstand a temperature of 240 degrees centigrade and therefore allow both dry sterilization and depyrogenation.
During all stages of treatment, inside the furnace, the pressure is constantly maintained positive with respect to the external environment. After the automatic sterilization cycle, the shutters all close to isolate the oven from the outside while the ventilation continues to work to maintain the internal overpressure ensuring that the material is not contaminated.
Sterilization time: 60 min for temperature 220 C while 75 min for temperature 200 C.
Cooling time to be set around 120 min.
See for the use of timers the attached instructions taking into account to always set the MODE "A" and the value in MIN. The cooling time should be selected according to the experience resulting from the type of load used and the temperature of the sucked air.

This is a fully automatic, intermittent motion Blisterpacking machine with a capacity up to 50 cycles per minute. The maximum output is 200 Blisters per minute depending on blister size.

The machine is of ‘balcony construction’ - all relevant stations are individual modules, which are cantilevered off a large aluminium plate that forms the front of the machine housing. The remainder of the machine cabinet is constructed from fabricated steel and houses the drive unit, gear trains, chain drives and the electrical control equipment.

PVC, PVC/PVDC, PVC/Aclar film is drawn from a reel and is first heated and softened and then deep-drawn in the blister forming station. The blisters are formed in the mould with the aid of compressed air – the web is then pulled forward, up and across the feeding area where the blisters are filled with product.

The filled blisters now pass into the sealing station where they are covered with aluminium top foil which is drawn from a reel mounted above. The heated top sealing plate on this station incorporates coding digits to allow a code to be embossed as the blisters are sealed. Air- operated grippers then pull the web forward through a short cooling plate before they are cut out from the web.

The web now passes into the guillotine cutting station, where the blisters are cut out and discharged down a chute where they can be collected in a suitable container.

All operator controls are located in a console on the right hand side, including the thermostats and temperature gauges. Two interlocked, large sliding Perspex doors protect the operator from the moving parts of the machine. At the rear of the machine cabinet there are hinged doors for easy access for cleaning and maintenance purposes.

The monoblock F87 is an automatic intermittent movement machine that can perform three operations at the same time: a volumetric filling and two closures. Aqueous, alcoholic, sugary, foamy, viscous products can be given. Droppers, glass or plastic pipettes, nebulizers, normal or freeze-drying rubber caps can be introduced. You can apply screw caps, press caps, ferrules, PFP etc. The carter and the machine table, on which all the operating groups are fixed from the inside, are in AISI 304 stainless steel and protect the mechanical parts from the infiltration of the treated products and the water used for washing. The operating units and their supports are made of AISI 304 stainless steel and receive their motion from a single variator motor, obtaining the dual purpose of relating, without interruption, the speed of the machine with the rotation speed of the screwing or seaming, and not to have electric motors above the work stations, thus eliminating sources of possible pollution of the treated products. The volumetric filling unit is also located on the machine - plane and the syringes (in glass or stainless steel) act vertically. This solution avoids the radial stresses that are often the cause of breakages, reduces wear, and facilitates the adjustment and cleaning of the filling units. The closing groups are designed to process all types of caps or caps commonly used in the chemical, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries and have simple and easy adjustments that reduce time for format change. A peculiar feature of the group for the introduction of caps or droppers is the ability to rotate the closing element during the introduction phase. The advantages of this system are manifested especially with soft rubber stoppers which, if introduced without rotation, tend to come out of the bottle. The screwing of the capsules takes place in two stages: a spindle picks up the capsule, brings it to the bottle in the correct position and gently pre-screws it. At the next station, a screwdriver tightens it respecting the desired tightening torque. The vibrating feeders of the closing elements are positioned at about 1200 mm from the floor, so the operator has no difficulty in checking and supplying them.
