Semi-Automatic Cap Welding Machine Rommelag Model SM950

Cap welding equipment is used where the BFS machine is producing a large volume parenteral container.
The bottle is sealed when leaving the machine. In order to allow the tight connection with the giving set spike after perforation a cap is sealed on top of the container.
The cap contains a rubber disc. The spike penetrates through the disc and the sealed bottle top. There is no contact between the rubber and the solution, eliminating the risk of particles generated by the rubber. The inside of the cap is sterile after terminal sterilization.

A transfer unit takes the bottles off the conveyor belt of the bottle pack machine and places them on the conveyor system of the welding machine This conveyor system loads the containers into the welding unit. Simultaneously the plastic caps are automatically made available.
Within the welding unit, the bottles and caps are fixed in position and plasticized at the joining point with the mirror welding unit. In this way, bottle and cap are welded together homogeneously without adding foreign material.

Semi-automatic machine with intermittent movements and vertical
transport of the carton. Cartoner suitable for cartons with closure by inserting 2 or alternating flaps, the product is inserted manually, the machine inserts the leaflet, codes the carton, closes the carton and ejects the product at the exit.

GIMAT's 4-way horizontal mixers are made of painted carbon steel or AISI 304 or 316 stainless steel with surface treatments suitable for use.
Specially ribbed sheets of adequate thickness are used to resist the stresses present during powder mixing, which takes place quickly and homogeneously thanks to the special four-way reel with four cross-flows.
These machines are designed as powder mixers but can also be used as homogenisers for powders of the same category belonging to different batches.
The direct drive with bevel gear motor and bevel wheels integrated with a torsionally flexible elastic coupling, depending on variations in load conditions, guarantees high efficiency of the entire kinematic chain and very quiet operation.

FILLING AND CLOSING MACHINES FOR AMPOULES AND VIALS
The machines of this series are fully automatic filling and closing ma- chines for both ampoules and vials. They are rotary machines processing 1 or 2 containers at each machine cycle and reaching an output of up to 3000 resp. 6000 containers per hour.
Multifunctional applications
Thanks to their compact design and small footprint, these machines can be used both in laboratories and in medium-scale production situations.
Format changeover is quick and easy, so these versatile machines can be used for different types of containers and products.
The layout of the workstations and the design above the work surface promote laminar airflow. Virtually all parts are made from corrosion-resistant materials such as stainless steel and high-quality plastics.
The machine is easy to clean and maintain.

Valveless rotary piston pump(s) - self-priming and precise
The dosing station is equipped with either one or two valveless rotary piston pumps. These high-quality, precision pumps comprising only two parts guarantee utmost dosing accuracy. These pumps are simple to remove, install, clean and sterilize as are all the parts in contact with the product.
Depending on the product to be filled, either stainless steel or ceramic pumps can be supplied.
Dose adjustments within the pump volume can be made by increasing or reducing the pump stroke.
Both the central dose adjustment and the fine adjustment for each pump are made mechanically with setting spindles. They are equipped with digital position displays ena- bling the dosing quantities to be repeated, so that they can be repro- duced with the same accuracy at any time.

Tried and tested
The ampoules are sealed by fusing the glass and pulling off the tips of the ampoule stems.
The fuel gas and oxygen mixture produces a constant burner flame. The gas supply can be set indivi- dually on the respective flow meter for each work station.
If the flame goes out, the gas supply is shut off automatically.
The ampoule stems are heated in two steps and then as the glass is fused to a dome the tip is pulled off and discarded into a bin. The heat generated by the sealing process is drawn out of the work area by an extraction system.

The closures are fed to the closing station by a sorting bowl and a track vibrator.

The Evaporation Column is designed to minimize steam velocity to avoid entrainment of water particles, which are separated from the steam by a special separator.
