The WILCOMAT® R MC/LFC is a rotary type leak tester for both small and large BFS products.
The machines are designed and built according to latest GAMP guidelines.
The containers are fed to the tester on a conveyor belt. An especially designed in feed star
wheel positions the containers continuously onto the test rotor directly underneath one of the testing station. Once positioned, the test chambers close and seal by a mechanically cam driven system.
Once sealed, a patented vacuum based leak test will detect smallest leaks anywhere on the containers by analyzing the applied test vacuum for any changes over time. A special 2-step approach assures the detection of large leaks in a fraction of a second, thereby avoiding contamination of the test chambers. Once successfully passed the large leak detection small leaks are being detected.
After the testing, the containers are released from the testing station and are moved back onto the out feed conveyor belt. Only containers, which have passed both leak tests, are allowed to continue on. Leaky containers are rejected by a fail-safe reject mechanism.
