Flexible end-of-line packer for banded and shrink-wrapped bundles.
The Stretch-banding machine wraps cartons in optional bundle configurations and can be seamlessly integrated into the Uhlmann line. The handling of multi-lane bundles and various stacking systems offer maximum flexibility for pharmaceutical packaging. The GMP-compliant cantilever design allows the user good accessibility and facilitates cleaning. The SmartControl operating system permits intuitive and comprehensible operation of the machine. Furthermore, it assists the user during a format changeover, which can be completed in less than ten minutes as few format parts are involved. All these factors contribute to the particularly high efficiency of the machine.
Reliable process and uninterrupted production
The extensive, integrated protection, monitoring, and early warning systems of the machine enhance the reliability of the process – after all, every conveyor stop impacts the OEE. Examples here are the tear control function that checks the top and bottom film, and an integrated safety system that signals when the film is coming to an end.
The film splicer in the Stretch-banding machine permits an automatic reel changeover, ensuring smooth production without any stops. Both uninterrupted production and the integrated early warning systems significantly improve the economic efficiency of the packaging process.

Highly flexible end-of-line packer for cases ready for dispatch
The Case packer packages cartons filled with solid or liquid dose blisters, or bundles of cartons, in cases ready for dispatch. The steps cover erecting the case blanks, loading from the side, and two-sided closure of the case. Operation of this machine is extremely space-saving, and the erecting and turning station ensures optimum utilization of the case volume. In addition, the modular design allows flexible adaptation of the configuration to meet customer requirements. The ergonomic design not only gives the user optimum accessibility, but also facilitates servicing and cleaning. One example here is access to the case magazine from the operating side. Sensitive AV is a completely automatic labelling machine, suitable for the application of self-adhesive labels on small, unstable containers such as ampoules, cartridges and vials.
The machine can be used out-of-line with loading and unloading from and onto trays, or in line by means of the necessary connecting units. The machine is completely made of stainless steel and all units are elevated slightly above its base for easy access and cleaning operation. The format size change to treat containers with different diameters, is quick and easy. The control panel is equipped with a display to visualize all machine status, production status report and trouble shooting.
The containers are loaded from the tray onto the feeding conveyor belt to be conveyed by means of a scroll to the single lining in-feed star-wheel.
Through the star-wheel the containers are fed to the central labelling carrousel. Positioned betwen st.st. bearings the containers easily rotate for labels winding. Label application is performed by a distributing head, controlled by a stepping motor synchronized with the container transport speed. The control units and the automatic rejection system are fitted along the central carrousel. When outcoming the central carrousel the containers are guided by the out-feed star-wheel and conveyed onto the collecting tray. In case of machine with in-line connection, the containers are taken from one single row by a side belt system and loaded onto the feeding conveyor, which in this case has a collecting function, too. The machine out-feed can be equipped with an in-line connection to downstream machine.Output: Up to 500 pcs/min.

Motorized unfolding roll-holder unit (both upper and lower) equipped with film retirement system around the burden. Automatically adjustable voltage depending on the product to be treated. The welding station has been designed with particular care to ensure a high quality of the bundles both for the look super wafer and for the resistance to stretching. The bundle is held steady during welding by a mechanically operated spring pressure. The welding temperature is automatically controlled by the PC. The welding device is adjustable stroke depending on the height of the bundle, and is controlled by brushless motor, automatically controllable by PC.
A cooling system with jets of compressed air completes the supply. The supply unit in line includes:

The stacking unit works with a "comb" movement. After the first grouping has been carried out, a pusher provides for transfer to the welding station. This pusher, thanks to the vertical comb movement, increases the time available, avoiding waiting for the next grouping to be carried out. The pusher works with a servo motor and can be set by PC. This system allows to work at high speeds, and allows to pack packs from 2 to 5 in height absorbing 500 boxes on arrival without having to tip the boxes at the coast.
