Highly flexible end-of-line packer for cases ready for dispatch
The Case packer packages cartons filled with solid or liquid dose blisters, or bundles of cartons, in cases ready for dispatch. The steps cover erecting the case blanks, loading from the side, and two-sided closure of the case. Operation of this machine is extremely space-saving, and the erecting and turning station ensures optimum utilization of the case volume. In addition, the modular design allows flexible adaptation of the configuration to meet customer requirements. The ergonomic design not only gives the user optimum accessibility, but also facilitates servicing and cleaning. One example here is access to the case magazine from the operating side. Fast format changeovers and straightforward handling make the machine very efficient. Operation via the central SmartControl operating system is intuitive and easily comprehended. The Case packer can be seamlessly integrated into an Uhlmann line. In terms of performance and operation, it is the optimum solution downstream from an Uhlmann cartoner.

Automatic horizontal Casepacker. Compact, ergonomic, reliable and sturdy, it is innovative and versatile thanks to the use of robotised solutions which significantly enhance performances in terms of speed and flexibility.
•All operations are fully automated, performed by brushless motors and controlled by a PC;
•The case blank is fed into the magazine, located in an ergonomic position on the front of the machine;
•The case blank is picked up and transferred to the opening unit by an arm equipped with suction cups, holding it from top and bottom, and thus guaranteeing a perfect squaring;
•The products arriving from the infeed belt, are grouped, vertically stacked inside the hopper and finally pushed into the case. Pick-and-place by grippers can also be provided;
•Chain conveyors transfer the case to the flap folding and taping area;
•Simultaneous adjustment of taping units depth.

High performance cartoner with continuous movement. The formats are fully registrable. With simple operations and with the substitution of some parts, it is possible to use cases with even or alternate fins, with measures included in the following limits:

Security:
The cartoner comes with electrical and mechanical safety devices, which intervene in the event of malfunctions, interrupting the regular work cycle, thus eliminating the risk of breakage or damage.
Duty cycle:
The tubes to be carton are fed automatically by means of a dedicated automatic tube feeder. In the conveyor there is a sensor that verifies the presence of the tube and activates the taking of the cases from the case loader. The case is opened by a series of suction cups and inserted into the carrying case. In this way, for each blister present in the product chain, there corresponds a case in the transport chain of cases.
If an illustrative brochure is required in the case, the sensor that activates the taking of the cases also sends an impulse to the brochure magazine. The brochure is taken by suction cups, it is inserted in a series of tapes. By means of these belts, the brochure is transported to a gripper that is located below the product feeding chain.
All the elements that make up the packaging advance to the introduction station, where a series of pushers introduce them into the case. During the tube insertion movement, it meets the brochure and inserts it into the case.
Once the insertion is completed, the case advances towards the closing area where, with a series of enervating and folding operations of the fins, the packaging cycle is completed.

DESCRIPTION
The AVC continuous motion vertical cartoner has been designed by CAM to meet the packaging requirements, at medium-high speed of products for which the arrangement into carton and the final presentation could not be guaranteed by horizontal positioning.
All movement are controlled by closed-profile cams which have been subjected to surface hardening treatment. This featyre, together with the heavy-duty structure, reduce maintenance operations and guarantee machine life for a long time.
As all CAM continuous motion cartoning machines, AVC is characterized by the exclusive carton erection system incorporating a 4-station turret, each station separately driven by closed-profile cams for carton pick-off at zero speed. This system allows for total and progressive carton pre-breaking to be carried out in a time period longer than the machine cycle.
Each carton erection station is composed oft wo suction-cup arms which, by pulling externally on the two adjacent faces of the carton, guarantee positive opening, whatever board grammage is used and even in the case of handling square-section formats.
The wide range of product feeders available cover all possible packaging requirements of the market and is particulary suitable for bottles and jars. The introduction in vertical position eliminates all problems caused by horizontal introduction when the traditional cartoners are used.
The machine is furthermore equipped with high-endurance motorized carton magazine.
CAM has recently developed and patented a new carton closure system, that grants the possibility of: carrying out format change without requiring the services of a specialized technician; eliminating fine turing time related to the closuere area; and absolute qulity consistancy of the final package.
As on all CAM machinery, the AVC is olso equipped with the Mechanical Memory system, transforming complete size-over into a series of rapid and pre-set operations, which can be carried-out unskilled personnels in less thank 10 minutes, eliminating the need for fine.tuning adjustments and allowing size change-over to coincide with actual production change-over.

The Promatic Bipak vertical cartoning machine is versatile, flexible and reliable. Depending on the production needs or the application, the machine can be used in continuous or intermittent mode by means of a simple selection on the control panel. The standard Bipak model is suitable for manual feeding.
